Kids learn to create and apply abstract symbols, a cornerstone of math. Players create codes by opening themselves up to metaphors and logic - creating metaphors to organize and logic to recall the connections. Exercises the ability to adopt the perspective of another person, which is critical to understanding others' perspectives. Codebreaker is great for Communication Arts. But it is also customizable for nearly any subject. Simply limit the scope of codes, for example "All codes must relate to astronomy" or "All codes must relate to the Civil War."
