SET 2 - Weather, States of Matter, Volcanoes!

Become a meteorologist, chemist, and volcanologist all with one science kit! For ages 5-12, this is 3 subjects in 1 Solids, Liquids, and Gases, Volcanoes, and Weather. First, explore the weather by building a wind vane to study wind direction, a barometer to measure air pressure, and a thermometer to study temperature. And while you're at it, build a rain gauge to measure rainfall! Next, study the properties of a volcano. Build it, then erupt it, and study the pumice, the real volcanic rock that's included. Finally, investigate the nature of solids, liquids, and gasses. These three phases of matter by mixing solids and liquids to create gas, a bouncy ball, and goop! Not your average educational toy, right?

This is Set #2. Young Scientists Club recommends starting with Set #1 and working through Set #12, however, every set is a different subject and sets can be done individually. Twelve kits of 3 sets each make up 36 different subjects in this series.

Science Kit includes: straws, modeling clay, balloon, rubber bands, index cards, pencil, nail, compass, thermometer, raisins, pumice, and the list goes on and on! Includes adult instructions as well as fun illustrated instructions for children given by Celsius the science bug. Comes in a suit-case style box with a handle so kids can pack up and carry their science kit anywhere they want!
